Hello! We are Cat and Rob and we run Wild Rover Food; a sustainable, ethical food business specialising in food for weddings, parties and events. Travelling around Scotland in our land rovers and field kitchens, we use the best natural and local produce we can find to deliver fresh, delicious catering to you. We care passionately about food provenance, so we work directly with the people who grow, hunt and fish – as the food seasons change, our dishes do too!

We develop seasonal menus to reflect what’s available in our local region throughout the year, as we believe that the freshest ingredients tastes the best. We do of course take some inspiration from further afield – pomegranate seeds seem to be a must these days! And we are very happy to develop menus with you which might reflect your own travels or favourite cuisines from around the world too.


We don’t create delicious dishes alone. In our team we have two French cooks – Gwendal and Thomas – who bring their own ‘je ne sais quoi’ to the menu, as well as the lovely Jen who bakes the finest brownies and other sweet treats for the end of your meal. Your food is very much a team effort and we all bring a love of home cooking and ‘proper food’ to your day.


It is not just taste that drives us to work with local producers. We also believe in the value of supporting our local economy. Whilst we are guaranteed that our suppliers are practising the highest animal welfare or sustainable growing practices, they can be confident that we will always pay a fair price for their efforts.

We are also a member of the Scottish Living Wage Accreditation Initiative, so you can be assured that our ethics are applied to our lovely team as well as to our producers.
